Malaysian Timber Council’s booth received quality trade visitors comprising of importers, interior designers, joinery workshops, carpentries and contracting companies. There were visitors from Pakistan, India, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Jordan, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, and Kuwait indicates the popularity and eectiveness of WoodShow 2017 in sourcing timber related products. MTC booth also received visitors from Egypt, Iran, South Africa, Malaysia and the rest of the world during the exhibition.

The 12th edition of Dubai International Wood and Machinery Show 2017 (Dubai WoodShow 2017) and the 1st edition of Dubai International Furniture Accessories & Components & Semi-Finished Products Show (DIFAC 2017) were launched today by H.E. Sami Ahmad Dhaen Al Qamzi, Dubai Director General of Department of Economic Development. Both shows will run until March 9th 2017 at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. The launch also witnessed the esteemed presence of H.E. Helal Saeed Almarri, CEO of Dubai World Trade Centre and many other high-prole dignitaries and ocial visitors from both public and private sectors.

 

At the opening ceremony, H.E. Sami Ahmad Dhaen Al Qamzi walked through the dierent exhibition halls and met with representatives of the participant companies, who had an opportunity to display and explain their products and special oerings H.E. Sami Ahmad Dhaen Al Qamzi lauded the eorts of the organisers for conducting a show of this repute and also acknowledged their valuable contribution to making Dubai a hub for such international events.
The Dubai WoodShow is one of the biggest events of the industry in the region and across the world. This year’s edition is witnessing the largest participation, in terms of visitors, exhibitors and the exhibition space. In addition, the organisers anticipate more than 300 exhibitors from over 106 countries to visit the show. The total area of the exhibition is 17,388 square meters, oering exhibiting the companies a chance to display their products and oerings in a vast setting.

From the 4 to 6 March 2017, the ATIBT (Association technique Internationale des Bois Tropicaux) held their 20th edition of their annual Forum in Dubai. The technical forum was opened by her Excellency Estelle Ondo, Minister of Forestry Economy, Fish and Environment of the Republic of Gabon.
